01Who’s responsible for what

Hyevite is provided by [LEGAL_ENTITY]. There are two distinct roles worth separating:

• Your account data. For the email tied to your account, Hyevite is the data controller.
• Your guests’ data. For the RSVP responses and guest details collected through your published site, you — the couple — are the controller. Hyevite is your processor: we store and process that information on your behalf so the features you enabled work.

02What we collect

Account data

Your email address, used to send the magic link that signs you in. We keep basic timestamps (when your account and weddings were created and last updated).

Wedding content you enter

Everything you add in the builder — couple names, event dates, venues, schedule, stories, dress code, photos, and settings. This is stored so we can render your site and so you can come back and edit it.

Guest RSVP submissions

When a guest responds on your published site, we store what they submit: their name, whether they’re attending, party size and companions, their side, any message, and their language. This data belongs to your wedding and is visible only to you. To help you keep responses honest and limit spam, we also store a one-way hashed form of the submitter’s IP address and their browser user-agent — never the raw IP.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in (your authentication session). There is no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics profiling baked into the product surface.

03How we use it

• To sign you in and keep your session active.
• To build, host, and display your wedding site to the guests you invite.
• To collect and show you the RSVP responses your guests submit.
• To run the seating planner and budget tracker you choose to use.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• To contact you about your account or important service changes.

We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t use your guests’ responses for anything beyond running your wedding site.

04Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL database plus file storage for photos), hosted in the [DATA_REGION — EU or US] region. The application is served by Vercel. These providers process data on our instructions under their own security and privacy commitments.

05Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of vendors to run Hyevite. Each only receives what it needs for its job:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
• Merchant of record (Lemon Squeezy) — checkout, payment processing, receipts, and tax. They handle your payment details directly; we don’t receive your card data. See our Terms of Service for the billing split.

We’ll keep this list current as the stack changes and use commercially reasonable diligence when adding a new sub-processor.

06How long we keep it

We keep your content and your guests’ responses for as long as your account is active, so your site keeps working. When you delete a wedding, its guest responses, seating, and budget data are removed along with it. When you delete your account, we remove your data within a reasonable period — except limited records we’re required to retain, such as payment records held by the merchant of record for tax.

07Your rights and choices

You can view and edit your content any time in the builder, and delete your weddings or your whole account from account settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data.

Want a copy of your data, or a full deletion handled for you? Email hello@hyevite.com and we’ll take care of it. Because your guests’ data is controlled by you, we’ll route any guest requests we receive back to the couple who owns that wedding.

08Children

Hyevite is intended for adults planning a wedding and is not directed at children. Please don’t create an account if you are under the age required to form a binding contract where you live.

09Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. When we make a material change, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
